“Leave the Light on won’t you?”

About Xavier Schwindt

Xavier Schwindt crafts epic fantasy and science fiction that navigates the delicate balance between heartache and healing. With thoughtful prose and worlds built on quiet wonder, he creates stories for readers who believe in redemption and the possibility of wholeness in a fractured world.

Behind his reserved demeanor lies a man of surprising contrasts. When not weaving tales at his desk, Xavier can be found executing a daily backflip (a ritual only briefly interrupted by an infamous ankle sprain in Iceland), practicing classical dance movements, or performing stunt work that channels his adventurous spirit. His collection of spoons from around the world serves as tangible reminders of places visited and stories gathered.

Xavier's journey to becoming an author began during a tumultuous period when he was uprooted from the United Arab Emirates and thrust into the American public school system during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. In those lonely corridors, he discovered that fiction offered not just escape but purpose. What began as personal refuge evolved into a calling that drew him closer to his faith and further from the self-doubt that once defined him.

With nearly 5,000 hours dedicated to studying the craft and business of writing, Xavier approaches his work with the dedicated precision of an artisan. His voracious reading habit—consuming almost a book every other day through his beloved Audible account—continually fuels his creative vision and technical expertise.

Through Crownling Entertainment, Xavier not only publishes his own immersive worlds but mentors emerging writers finding their voice. He believes in creating community around storytelling, understanding firsthand how narrative can transform isolation into belonging.

Despite his accomplishments, Xavier continues to wrestle with the twin challenges of self hatred and self-criticism. Yet it's precisely this internal struggle that lends authenticity to his characters—beings who face their own demons while reaching for something greater than themselves. His work reflects the saving grace he's experienced personally, capturing beauty in the midst of brokenness.

For Xavier, writing is an act of devotion—a way to glorify his Creator while illuminating paths for others wandering through darkness. He finds his purpose in crafting stories that serve as beacons, guiding readers toward the same healing light that once guided him home.
